With hits like "Vicky Donor" and "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" to his credit besides a blooming singing career, Ayushmann Khurrana says he is living his dream in Bollywood.
The 31-year-old actor-singer shot to fame with popular reality show "Roadies" and later made an unconventional but successful movie debut with Shoojit Sircar-directed film.
"I don't rush through things as I am not running after stardom. I am living the life I always dreamt of. I am doing one film a year on an average. I am creating the kind of music I want to," Ayushmann told PTI.
"It is not a race. I have my own space of as an actor- singer. I am just working on my passion. Some actors may be doing three-four films a year but it depends on the kind of films you get. I cannot do something which doesn't excites me."
Ayushmann, meanwhile, is happy to take his singing forward. He is currently in the US for his maiden tour with his band. They will also perform in Canada.
On the acting front, Ayushmann will next be seen in Yash Raj Films' "Meri Pyaari Bindu," with Parineeti Chopra.

He is in the role of a Bengali pulp fiction writer in the film while Parineeti is an aspiring singer.
Ayushmann, however, hopes they get to record a duet for the movie.
"Ideally, a duet with me and Parineeti should happen as we both are singers. It would be exciting to do a duet with her, but as of now we have not recorded any song.
"When I discovered her singing talent I was shocked. Amongst all the actors, who are singing, she is currently the best singer. Best part is she has her own voice."
Actors crooning in their own films is becoming something of a trend in Bollywood and Ayushmann thinks it is a great way to promote a movie.
"Trend of stars singing in their films is good. In the West it is normal. But, in India we are used to playback. It adds more credibility to the artiste. If one can, they should sing for themselves."
He is also fine with use of auto-tuning if it is only for promotional purposes.
"There is nothing wrong in using auto-tuner if the song is just for the film. If it promotes your film, grabs eyeballs then there is nothing bad in going for it. There are seasoned actors, who have great fan following, and if they plan to sing to promote their film, it's perfectly fine."
When it comes to the usage of cuss words in songs, the "Mitti Di Khushboo" hitmaker says he may not follow the path himself but does not have any issues with others using it.
"I am not someone who will endorse derogatory lyrics. But at the same time, we need to understand there is an audience for such songs. Genres like rap use colloquial language to define reality and they will use such words. I think it is fine, as they are part of the genre.
"There is a section of society which likes and connects with that. It's all right. Puritans will never like this."
So far, his singing has been limited to his own films and singles but Ayushmann would not mind doing playback for other actors.
"As a singer, I don't work only for myself. I will surely consider if any offer to sing for some other actor comes to me.
