The celebration is to pay tribute to the efforts made by the "Iron Man of India" to unite the country, an official release said here today.
LNCPE, part of the academic wing of the Sports Authority of India, will hold two programmes--a Run for Unity and Pledge taking ceremony-- to mark the occasion, Dr G Kishore, Principal, LNCPE, said in the release.
The 'Run for Unity' will be from Kazhakuttom junction near here to SAI LNCPE Campus at 7.30 AM which will be flagged off by Jiji Thomson, Chief Secretary to state government.
It is expected that about 1500 sports stars, athletes and sports enthusiasts will participate in the Run for Unity, it added.
