Local TDP leader M S Chakravarti passes away

Local TDP leader M S Chakravarti, who was the first mayor of Rajahmundry, passed away today following a heart-attack, his family members said.
He was 50 and survived by wife and two sons.
Chakravarti was elected to Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation on a TDP ticket and served as its as mayor for five years.
Expressing grief over his demise, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N Chinna Rajappa said his death was a irreparable loss to the party (TDP) and it has lost a good and sincere worker.
Family members said his cremation will take place after two days.
