Three benches were constituted to take up the cases---131 related to pre-litigation and 18 post-litigation stage.
This is for the first time that the High Court Lok Adalat was organised at the initiative of the governor, exclusively for the cases related to the five universities across the state.
Besides the governor, Justice M Y Eqbal (Eqbal) of Madras High Court, Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Justice Prakash Tatia and Justice R K Merathia were present during the Legal Awareness Camp-cum-Lok Adalat.
They gave away the cheques to the beneficiaries.
