Lokayukta raids peon, seizes assets disproportionate to income
Press Trust of India Gwalior Lokayukta police today raided the premises of a peon employed with the Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sahkari Bank here and seized a large number of assets highly disproportionate to his known sources of income, official sources said.
Peon Kuldeep Yadav's total income from his salary was around 16 lakh since 1984-2012, but he owns a house worth Rs 15 lakh in Purshottam Vihar Colony, three plots worth Rs 11 lakh and a property valued at around Rs 7 lakh in the city centre area, a Lokayukta official said today.
Besides, he also owns a Scorpio jeep, a car and two two-wheelers, the official said, adding jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh was also seized from his residence.
Details of his bank locker and other deposits, including insurance policies would be known later, he said, adding that further details are awaited.
