Lokayukta unearths DA worth crores from health worker's house

Lokayukta Police today raided residence of a Multi Purpose Worker (MPW) attached to the state Health department here and unearthed allegedly ill-gotten wealth crores of rupees amassed by him, a senior officer said.
"A team of Lokayukta raided the house of MPW, Jakir Hussain at Friends' Colony and uncovered wealth of crores of rupees, which is disproportionate to his known sources of income," Lokayukta Dy SP Satish Mishra said.
He said police recovered gold jewellery weighing 800 gms, a JCM machine, two cars and documents of two houses and four plots among other things owned by Hussain.
He has been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The action came following a complaint against him.
