"I will travel to Uzbekistan for a brief visit to attend the SCO Summit & interact with leaders of SCO nations," he tweeted.
"India is glad to be a member of the SCO & looks forward to fruitful outcomes particularly in the field of economic cooperation through SCO," he added.
The SCO Summit will kick off the process of India's accession to the grouping as a full fledged member along with Pakistan.
The Prime Minister will also have a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping tomorrow on the sidelines of the summit during which he is expected to seek China's support for India's bid for NSG membership, which Beijing is opposed to.
