The proposed project will generate direct and indirect employment for 700 people.
Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony at Rohtak, CEO of Lotte Confectionery, Yongsu Kim and Ambassador of Korea Republic Joongyu Lee thanked Haryana government for cooperation, saying that Haryana has emerged as a premier investment destination.
Lotte India Corporation Ltd (LICL) is a subsidiary of Lotte Confectionery Company Ltd of Korea, which is part of USD 74.9 billion Lotte Group. The Lotte Group took over erstwhile Parrys Confectionery Ltd from the Murugappa Group in 2004 and renamed the company as Lotte India Corporation Limited.
An official release quoting Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the state of the art infrastructure facilities have been developed in the state, including IMT at Rohtak.
Hooda said that Haryana is home to a large number of domestic and multinational companies, including Korean companies like Lotte ,Posco, L S cables.
Major Korean companies such as Samsung, Hyundai Motors and LG have made significant investments in India, he said.
