Refined soya oil prices softened by 0.15 per cent to Rs 646.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as traders reduced their exposures amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June traded lower by 95 paise or 0.15 per cent to Rs 646.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 38,750 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in far-month July contracts shed 80 paise or 0.12 per cent to Rs 661.50 per 10 kg in 10,6270 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by participants due to weak demand in the spot market against ample stocks on higher supplies from producing belts, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
