The Committee will have L Hanumanthaiah and B S Mangal Murty as its members.
Constituted with a view to enabling better understanding of the functioning of Parliament and to identify the changing nature and role of parliamentary institutions, the fellowship scheme has been designed to encourage and support original studies by interested scholars.
The Fellowship Committee will have two full-fledged fellowships, one each in Hindi and English, for writing books. Similarly, there will be a fellowship for writing monographs.
The fields to be considered by the Committee for award of fellowships include Parliamentary Institutions/Systems (including State Legislatures)-Evolution and Development; Parliamentary Rules, Practices and Development; Committee System; Communication between Parliament and the People; and Modern Techniques of Service and Support Systems of Parliament.
