There are some 100 women MPs including ministers, 400 MLAs and ministers in various states. Women chief ministers as also former President Pratibha Patil are expected to attend the conference scheduled for March 4 and 5.
At a luncheon get-together today, she said she was happy that the Budget Session of Parliament was progressing well.
The last two sessions were a virtual washout due to opposition disruptions over a variety of issues. It had once led to the Speaker suspending 25 MPs.
Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Deepender Hooda participated in the get-together, as did P Karunakaran of CPI-M, Bhartruhari Mahtab of BJD and Jitender Reddy of TRS.
SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav came along with his nephews Dharmendra and Akshaya.
Deputy Speaker M Thambi Durai, several Union ministers, including Manohar Parrkiar, Rajnath Singh, Maneka Gandhi, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Piyush Goyal and Sripad Yesso Naik, were also present.
