In response to an RTI application filed by activist Subhash Agrawal, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said 23 documentaries featuring famous personalities have been made since June 1, 2009.
Jagjivan Ram, a former Deputy Prime Minister, is the only personality who featured in six documentaries whereas other leaders such as Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constitution B R Ambedkar, former President N Sanjiva Reddy, first Speaker of Lok Sabha G V Mavalankar featured in only one documentary by Lok Sabha TV.
According to the data given by Lok Sabha TV, two documentaries have been made featuring "Obama-King-Gandhi" while one each featured "Nancy Pelosi-Meira Kumar", US President Barack Obama, author Ruskin Bond, scientists Vikram Sarabhai and Subramanyam Chandrasekhar, former Speakers Bali Ram Bhagat, GMC Balyogi, G S Dhillon, M A Ayyangar, Sardar Hukam Singh, K S Hegde and Rabi Ray.
Agrawal also sought from the Lok Sabha Secretariat details about 6, Krishna Menon Marg, which used to be the residence of Jagjivan Ram, and whether it has been allotted as 'Babu Jagjivan Ram Smriti Sansthan'.
In response, the Secretariat had provided him with a media invitation wherein the bungalow was referred as 'Babu Jagjivan Ram Smriti Sansthan'.
Rest of his queries seeking confirmation about declaring the bungalow as Babu Jagjivan Ram Smriti Sansthan and related file notings have been referred to Urban Development Ministry.
A prominent leader and freedom fighter from Bihar, Jagjivan Ram popularly known as Babuji held the position of Deputy Prime Minister between 1977-79 and had held portfolios like Defence.
