After the flag-off, the LG also visited the Maintenance Depot-cum-Workshop and DMRC's Training Institute in Shastri Park Train Depot.
"It is always an enlightening experience to visit any office/workshop of the DMRC, a world class facility that India is proud of," he said.
These buses will ply on the routes from 8 AM till 8 PM daily.
As per the fares approved by STA, the fare for journey up to four kms will be Rs five and beyond 4 kms upto 10 kms, fare will be Rs 10 (similar to DTC fares).

"These buses are a part of a new fleet of 400 buses that the DMRC is going to introduce on 80 STA approved routes in a phased manner within the coming year," DMRC Executive Director Corporate Communications Anuj Dayal said.
While 300 buses will be low floor, the remaining 100 will be standard floor. These buses will have a seating capacity of 26 persons.
"DMRC's smart cards will be valid for travel on these buses. The tendering procedure for the procurement of hand held validators for these smart cards is currently in progress. Two operators have been selected by DMRC for the operation of these buses," Dayal said.
There will be six home depots- Yamuna Bank, Chhattarpur, Paschim Vihar, Azadpur, Sudamapuri (Moti Nagar) and Inderlok for these buses.
An SMS-based information system has been started to give details about the feeder bus service to commuters.
For knowing the bus stop code on any Metro feeder bus route, the passenger will have to log on to www.Delhimetrorail.Com and go to the operations section - click on the feeder bus and then check the code from Metro feeder bus route and bus stop codes.
DMRC is currently operating a fleet of 117 buses on 14 routes across the city with an average ridership of 55,000. Maximum ridership of 67,565 was recorded on May 22 on these feeder buses.
There are five home depots--Shastri Park, Kohat Enclave, Janakpuri West, Dwarka Sec-10 and Chhattarpur.
