Patel set the new mark in the women's category of 200 m backstroke in 02:22.34 minutes, breaking the existing record of 02:24.22 minutes of Richa Mishra.
In the men's category of the same event, Havaldar created the fresh record in 02:06.23 minutes thrashing the existing one in the name of Rehan Poncha of Karnataka, which was 02:07.52 minutes.
In the 50m breaststroke, Sandeep Sejwal of Railways set another national record in 00:28:29 minutes bettering his own earlier record of 00:28:35 minutes.
Simran Rajani of Maharashtra and Tushar Gitaye of Railways beat others in the categories of Spring Board (women) and High Board (Men) respectively.
Around 650 swimmers from across the country are participating in the event which will be concluded here on Sunday.
