The impromptu performance was a part of the Grammy's 'Music Unleashes Us' multi-platform ad campaign, which aims to capture people's natural, visceral and sometimes uncontrollable reactions to music, reported Ace Showbiz.
In the campaign video, the duo were seen wearing hoodies as they board a Bronx bus. After paying their fare, Lewis dropped his hoodie and turned on the music from his boombox while Macklemore walked down the bus aisle.
Some passengers were visibly confused when the rap duo began their impromptu performance, but they were later seen smiling, taking some videos or pictures with their phones, even clapping their hands and dancing along to the tune.
They will also join artists like Taylor Swift, Daft Punk, Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar to take the stage at the event as performers in the ceremony which will take place at Los Angeles' Staples Center on January 26.
