Macquarie Bank sells 6.35% stake in Hathway Cable for Rs 241cr

Macquarie Bank today offloaded 6.35 per cent stake in cable operator Hathway Cable & Datacom for an estimated Rs 241 crore through an open market transaction.
The shares were picked up by P5 Asia Holding Investments (Mauritius) Limited, a group company of Providence Equity Partners LLC.
According to block deal data available with the stock exchanges, Macquarie Bank sold a total of 5,27,83,220 shares, amounting to 6.35 per cent stake, of Hathway Cable & Datacom.
These shares were offloaded on an average price of Rs 45.65, taking the transaction size to Rs 240.95 crore.
At the end of September quarter, Macquarie Bank held 9.42 per cent stake in the company.
P6 Asia Holding Investments IV (Mauritius) Ltd owned 2.33 per cent stake in Hathway Cable & Datacom, while P6 Mauritius India Holding Ltd held 8.52 per cent stake in the company.
Shares of Hathway Cable & Datacom closed 3.39 per cent up, at Rs 47.25 apiece on the BSE today.
