The signature gray suit worn by character Don Drapper (Jon Hamm) on TV show 'Mad Men' will join the Smithsonian Museum of American History's permanent collection.
AMC announced that Don's soft hat, and office bar cart will also be added to the Museum along with a copy of the original script for the season 1 finale that contains an alternate ending, which was not filmed, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The museum will welcome iconic props, costumes, set decor, scripts and research material in a March 27 ceremony.
Some other 'Mad Men' upcoming events include a major exhibition at the Museum of the Moving Image, which will run from March 14 to June 14, a 'Mad Men' Reading List at the New York Public Library and an event at the Film Society of Lincoln Center entitled 'Mad Men: The End of the Era', among others.
The American period drama, which began in 2007, will end this April, when the second half of the final and seventh season will premiere.
