Madonna 'overjoyed' following adoption of twin girls

Pop icon Madonna has confirmed that she has adopted twin girls from Malawi and the singer said "I am overjoyed that they are now part of our family."
The 58-year-old star, who already has two children from the African country- David, adopted in 2006 and Mercy, adopted in 2009, appeared in court in Lilongwe last month after filing her application for the adoption of two little girls.
The "Vogue" hitmaker posted a picture on Instagram of the twin sisters, pointing out that the process is now complete and she is delighted to have them in her family.
"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family.

"I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time. Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love," Madonna captioned the picture in which she can be taking a stroll with the little girls while holding their hands.
However, less than two weeks ago Madonna denied reports that she had applied to adopt any more children from Malawi.
"The rumours of an adoption process are untrue. I am in Malawi to check on the children's hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi and then heading home," she said at the time.
