The fans got excited after watching the 58-year-old "Vogue" hitmaker at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) event in New York City, reported People magazine.
"She came out to support Alek Keshishian, her longtime friend and director of the celebrated documentary," a source said.
The "Body of Evidence" star shared picture of herself on the social media and thanked Keshishian for the film.
"Surreal Moment! At the MOMA!! So nice to watch a film in a museum. So many freedoms we take for granted that we did not have then. Thank you Alek Keshishian. We changed history with this film," she wrote.
