"A sample, which was taken from Deoria has failed the lab test," additional commissioner (Food) FDA Vijay Bahadur Yadav said today.
He added that more than 100 samples were still being tested.
"Samples collected from other places are being tested," he said.
In June this year, Nestle had to take Maggi off the shelves, after few states decided to ban the noodles. FSSAI had also banned Maggi instant noodles terming them "unsafe and hazardous" for human consumption.
However, later FSSAI trashed all-clear report saying that it had not given any clean chit to Nestle's banned Maggi noodles adding that there were lapses in the tests.
