The 15-tonnes-per-day integrated laundry is also the largest of its kind in south India.
The 20,000-sq-ft laundry complex, equipped with modern imported machinery, would mainly cater to the long standing demands of Kerala's bourgeoning hospitality industry in and around Kochi, Munnar and Kumarakom, Sreejith Narendran, Managing Director, Magnamind Ventures told reporters late last week.
According to a recent study, these three tourist hotspots alone account for 40 tonnes of dirty linen every day.
This will be spread to other parts of the region in the very near future.

These outlets are intended to serve household customers to provide services like genuine dry cleaning at competitive prices, the company said.
Magnamind has three divisions -Linen Lounge, Centralim and Allure. Linen Lounge is for mainstream laundry services targeted to launder bed, bath, F&B,uniform and valets of hotels; uniforms for corporate houses; banquet linen for conventions; bed and bath linens of railways and blankets and seat covers of airline companies.
Allure will look after retail operations of the company offering dry cleaning services in cities and towns. "Once our operations are in full stream, we would expand the number of collection centres across the state up to 50," he said.
M Salahuddin, Chairman, Magnamind Ventures said Nellad was chosen considering its proximity to "our markets, availability of raw materials and the existence of KINFRA's own effluent treatment plant".
