All the departments of the Maharashtra government have been directed to submit their proposals to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) seven days before the cabinet meetings.

State Chief Secretary D K Jain issued an order to this effect today.

Jain asked all the departments in Mantralaya (state secretariat) to submit their proposals seven days before the cabinet meetings.

He said a Government Resolution (GR) of April 1, 2014, gives detailed instructions to all the departments in Mantralaya regarding the submission of cabinet proposals.

"But, the instructions are not being followed," he said in the order.

He said all the departments at Mantralaya must ensure that the cabinet proposals are submitted to the CMO and the Chief Secretary's Office before the stipulated time as mentioned in the 2014 GR.

"Only those proposals will be considered after the stipulated time which will have the department's note about its urgency," he said.
