Maha BJP core committee discusses cabinet expansion
Press Trust of India Mumbai The BJP core committee is discussing the proposed expansion of the council of ministers at a meeting being held at Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' official residence in South Mumbai tonight.
The much-awaited expansion will be completed before beginning of the winter session of state Legislature on December 7 at Nagpur.
The meeting began at 9 PM and is still going on.
Apart from Fadnavis, Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse, PWD Minister Chandrakant Patil are present at the huddle.
Earlier in the day, state unit BJP president Raosaheb Danve told reporters that date of Cabinet expansion will be decided at the meeting.
Danve also held parleys with its smaller allies like RPI, Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatna, Shiv Sangram Party regarding accommodating them in the proposed cabinet expansion.
