Addressing a press conference, party leader Kirit Somaiya said if the police fail to file an FIR, he would move the high court with a PIL.

Somaiya said he had submitted a 2,600-page documentary evidence about 100 'benami' companies allegedly belonging to the two ministers, details of bank transactions, business and other financial transactions and bank statements of charitable institutions, receipts of money in their bank accounts and evidence of land grabbing.

He said he met Joint Commissioner (EOW) Himanshu Roy and Additional CP (EOW) Rajvardhan this morning with the chargesheet.

"Police took all the details and told me that that they will study the documents and based on that investigations will take place," Somaiya said, adding he had requested the police to investigate the owners of the bank accounts and details of the transactions.

To a question on PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal's announcement that he would file a defamation suit against those targetting him, Somaiya dared the minister to do so.

The documentary evidence is acquired from public domain, through RTI and other sources, he said.

"We had already filed a complaint with the EOW against the two ministers and today's was a follow-up complaint in the form of public chargesheet," Somaiya said.
