Fadnavis launched the extension and phase-II of the 'Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Amrut Aahar Yojana' here in the presence of state Ministers Vishnu Sawra, Pankaja Munde, Eknath Shinde and others.
On the occasion, Fadnavis paid tribute to tribal leader Birsa Munda.
"We should preserve and protect the age-old tribal culture. We should also ensure tribal youths are given opportunity to be on par with their counterparts in the urban region," the Chief Minister said.
He said the Centre has declared Health Indicators of the country and the one for the state would be declared soon.

Minister for Women and Child Development Pankaja Munde said the department was working towards 'Smart Anganwadi' which would be monitored real time and apps would be in place for the same.
Tribal Development Minister Vishnu Savara said there was a need for more hostels for tribal students as presently the capacity of the hostels was insufficient compared to demand.
