Maha CM to inaugurate irrigation convention on Nov 8

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan will on November 8 inaugurate an irrigation convention at Bembla river irrigation dam site in Babhulgaon, about 25 kms from here.
The fourth 'Sinchan Parishad' will be held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
The information was given by Ralegaon MLA and Deputy Speaker of the state Assembly Vasant Purke during a press conference here today.
"The fourth irrigation convention aims to create awareness among farmers about the urgent need of saving water for their betterment," Purke said.
"There shall be seminars on various topics like irrigation management, crop pattern, marketing management, water management and agri produce processing management," he said.
