A pass percentage of 91.46, considered the best so far, was registered in Maharashtra in the results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) tenth standard examination, declared today.
In what has now become a customary practise, girls outshone boys posting an overall pass percentage of 92.94 as against 90.18 per cent registered by successful boys.
Division-wise, Konkan topped the list with 96.54 per cent with Latur division was at the bottom with 86.38 per cent, chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Gangadhar Mahmane said while announcing the results.
