Ramotar was presented the "Pravasi Bhartiya Samman" for his contribution towards strengthening ties between Guyana and India at the recently-concluded Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas convention in Gujarat.
The Governor later hosted a banquet in honour of the visiting President and a delegation accompanying him.
Governor's wife Vinodha, state Industries Minister Subhash Desai, Minister for Housing, Mining and Labour Prakash Mehta and Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan were among those present on the occasion, a release said.
