Maha govt dissolves NDCC Bank's board of directors

The Maharashtra government has dissolved the Board of Nashik District Central Co-operative Bank (NDCC) in view of alleged irregularities.
The state cooperation department dissolved the NDCC Bank's board of directors yesterday for alleged irregularities and not following orders of the government and NABARD and appointed Gyandev Mukane, joint director (sugar), as the administrator of the bank.
The term of the NDCC Bank's board of directors ended on March 15, but the process of fresh election was delayed, sources said here today.
A complaint on irregularities in the bank had been sent to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
After taking charge as administrator, Mukane told reporters that NDCC Bank is important for the district's agricultural and cooperation sectors and it will take proper decisions for these sectors.
