The Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was attended by Cabinet Ministers Chandrakant Patil, Eknath Shinde, Girish Mahajan, Prakash Mehta and Minister of State for Finance Deepak Kesarkar.
An official in the Chief Minister's Office said the projects include six lane elevated road on Thane-Ghodbunder section. The total length of the project is 4 km and the cost is Rs 784 crore.
The Committee also approved to increase capacity of Mumbai-Pune Expressway with two tunnels, two viaduct, elevated roads and measures to increase security, he said.
The Committee also gave approval to third bridge at Thane creek on Sion-Panvel expressway and 11-km Tikujiniwadi to Borivali tunnel project.
It also gave nod to elevated road on
Bhiwandi-Kalyan-Shilphata road with the Maharashtra State Road development corporation (MSRDC) as implementing agency.
