In another cabinet decision, physiotheraphy post-graduate students in all government medical colleges will receive stipend, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told a press conference after a cabinet meeting here.
Fadnavis also said that fishing boats will be registered and the work would be carried out by commissioner of fisheries. Colour coding will also be done to identify boats.
Radio frequency identification of the boats would start soon, he added.
When asked about the report of the state government that three farmers have committed suicide in Maharashtra due to recent unseasonal rains and hailstorm, Fadnavis said that whatever details were furnished by state agriculture minister Eknath Khadse are true.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha yesterday accused the Centre of giving out contradictory figures about the damages suffered by farmers due to recent untimely rains and hailstorm in many states of the country.
Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh responded saying the figures were different as the states had revised the figures.
