Rao was speaking at the International Customs Day celebrations organised by the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai at the Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium here today, a Raj Bhavan release said.
Asserting the resolve of the Union government to make India a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2025 by removing red tape, the Governor asked the Customs department to further improve the ease of doing business in the country.
He felicitated serving and retired officers and staff of the Customs department and released a coffee-table book brought out by the Customs department, the release added.
