The Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court today stayed the interim anticipatory bail granted to the leader of opposition in the Legislative Council, Dhananjay Munde.
Justice T V Nalawade said in the order that if the police wished to interrogate Munde, they may apprehend him.
Dhananjay Munde, the estranged nephew of late BJP leader Gopinath Munde, had obtained the anticipatory bail in connection with a case filed by Parli police in Beed district against the board of directors of Janmitra Sut-girni (cooperative yarn factory) for defaulting on repayment of loan of Rs 12 crore taken from Beed District Cooperative Bank.
When Munde, one of the directors, approached for advance bail, the HC had last year said the factory must first deposit the due amount.
Accordingly, two cheques, totalling Rs 2.29 crore, were deposited after which Munde got interim anticipatory bail.
However, as both the cheques bounced for lack of funds, the HC today stayed the temporary pre-arrest bail, prosecution sources said.

Meanwhile, Munde said at a press conference this evening that the factory had decided to sell some of its land and repay the loan but the BJP-led government in the state did not take any decision on its request for permission to the cooperation department.
He alleged only he was being targeted by police while the other members of the factory's board, who belong to BJP, were left alone.
Munde quit BJP sometime ago to join NCP after falling out with his uncle.
