Maharashtra Women and Child Welfare Minister Pankaja Munde who launched the app said it would be available on Google Playstore and an IOS version would be launched soon.
The 'Child Helpline for Information on Rights and Address Grievances' (CHIRAG) app will provide information regarding functioning of the commission and spread awareness about children's rights.
People can also lodge complaints about violation of child rights through the app, Munde told reporters.
The minister who also handles rural development department said 'SMART gram scheme' announced in the Cabinet meeting yesterday will help development of rural Maharashtra.
The tehsil level awards would be of Rs 10 lakh and that at the district level would be Rs 40 lakh.
Tehsil level awards would be given on January 26 and district level awards on May 1, the minister said, adding that there would be points for Sanitation, Management, Accountability, Renewable Energy and Environment, Technology and Transparency (SMART).
