In a letter to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Deputy Secretary of State Medical Education department A M Atram has sought cancellation of licence to the Beed-based college after the state government-commissioned enquiry following numerous complaints about infrastructure, clinical staff and alleged harassment of girl students by the management were found to be true.
The state government had constituted two separate committees to look into the complaints and submit its reports.
According to Atram, the second panel paid a surprise visit to the college on March 5 and observed that girl students had to themselves get lights and fans in their hostel repaired.
Also, there were no security guards at the hostel.

The college was found to be violating the regulation of the Dental Council of India following which the state government recommended the Centre to cancel permissions to the college and allow transfer of students already admitted, to another recognised dental collage.
On January 15, the students had staged a dharna at Azad Maidan in Mumbai alleging that the college authorities were harassing them and threatening them with dire consequences.
Two days later, students, along with their parents and members of the NGO had met Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan as well as Medical Education Minister Vijay Kumar Gavit to submit a list of grievances following which the matter was taken up firmly.
