Some of their demands included increase in the income tax slab, slashing of the charge on debit and credit card transactions, separate counters for traders and retailers to deposit their cash or exchange of notes at banks.
The traders also demanded that old currency notes should be accepted for renewal of permits for restaurant owners and that the small denomination currency be brought in the market at the earliest, stated a government release.
The meeting with the chief minister was organised by the BJP's city unit president Ashish Shelar.
On Sunday, representatives of various trade and retail associations had called on Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray claiming that they have been the worst hit by the demonetisation decision.
Trading community is a traditional vote bank of the BJP.
