"Uddhavji's photography is excellent. It is noteworthy that he has maintained his passion despite a hectic schedule as a political leader," Danve said, after visiting an exhibition of Uddhav Thackeray's photographs at the Jehangir Art Gallery which began on January 6 and would end on January 12.
"It is my desire that we get to see such beautiful photographs snapped by him (Uddhav) in the coming years as well," Danve said.
Incidentally, the ongoing event happens to be the first exhibition of Uddhav Thackeray's photographs after a gap of 11 years. Income from the exhibition would be used to help educate children of farmers in Maharashtra who committed suicide due to crop failure and inability to repay loans.
Uddhav Thackeray, who has always been fond of wildlife photography said, "My last exhibition on photographs of forts of Maharashtra was in 2004, though I had not organised it. Later, two coffee table books based on my photographs were published, and I thought, I have enough material which I can share with the people".
