Maharashtra CM talks infra development with British PM
Press Trust of India Mumbai Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan met visiting British Prime Minister David Cameron today and discussed urbanisation and infrastructure development in the state. The chief minister's office said that the visiting dignitary appreciated the steps being taken to transform Mumbai into a global city. Metro rail expansion, Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Navi Mumbai airport, Maharashtra Trans-Harbour Link were among the projects discussed. Chavan expressed satisfaction over the meeting saying that Britain's interest in investing in Maharashtra is proof that the state is a preferred investment destination.
