Taking cues from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India programme, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said a new digital policy for the state will be announced by March.
"We will bring in a new digital policy in the state by March," Fadnavis said here.
He was speaking at a function to mark announcement of the country's first 'digital village', developed by financial services giant ICICI group, which was dedicated to the nation by Modi this evening.
Earlier, Fadnavis had said that the state government is working out ways to provide online all facilities it offers to people.
"Taking cues from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India programme, we will start a Digital Maharashtra programme where all services of the state government will be provided online. We will very soon announce the date of commencement of this programme," he had said last month.
