Maharashtra Governor and his wife visit Trimbakeshwar

Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and his wife Vinoda Rao arrived on a day's visit here today, a district administration official said.
District Superintendent of Police Sanjay Mohite, Nashik Municipal Corporation Praveen Gedam and Divisional Revenue Commissioner Eknath Davle received him at the Ojhar airport, he said.
Later, the Governor and his wife visited the pilgrim town of Trimbakeshwar, which is 30 km from here. They performed a "jal pooja" at the holy Kushavarta pond, he said.
The Governor also visited an ancient temple of Lord Shiva and offered 'abhisheka' and 'pooja', he said.
