Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao today distributed electronic limbs to 13 accident victims at a function organised on the eve of Good Governance Day.
The beneficiaries were the people who had lost their limbs or arms in train, road accidents or due to other mishaps.
The programme at suburban Mulund was organised by Yuvak Pratishthan, an NGO founded by BJP Member of Parliament Kirit Somaiya, on the eve of Good Governance Day.
Monika More, a Mumbai teenager who lost her arms after slipping under a local train in Ghatkopar early this year and whose plight was widely highlighted by the media, was present on the occasion. She is now using prosthetic arms gifted by a German company.
