Maharashtra Guv seeks region-wise figures of govt staff

Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar has asked a state government appointed committee, set up to collate data on region-wise representation in government services, to submit its report at the earliest.
"The Governor had earlier directed that the general administration department shall submit the data of region-wise representation of employment in services under the control of the state government.
"The local self-government institutions, autonomous bodies and the government-owned corporations were also to be considered while carrying out this exercise," an official said.
The Governor has noted that a Cabinet Sub-Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Minister of Finance on the subject. "He has directed that the report of the Sub-Committee be submitted at the earliest," the official said.
