Maharashtra in commanding position

Ankit Bawne hit an unbeaten century as Maharashtra scored 342 all out in their first innings before bundling out Vidarbha for a paltry 114 and then enforcing a follow-on on them on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Group B cricket match here today.
At stumps, Vidarbha reached 26 for no loss in their second innings while following-on, with openers Faiz Fazal (14) and Sachin Katariya (12) on the crease.
Vidarbha still trail Maharashtra by 202 runs with 10 wickets in hand.
Resuming on 262 for four, Maharashtra could add only 80 more runs to their overnight total, losing six wickets in the process.
Bawne, who started the day on 56, left stranded as wickets kept falling on the other end. His 100 not out came off 221 balls, studded with 13 fours and a six.
In reply, Vidarbha got off to a disastrous start with Maharashtra pace bowling duo of Domnic Joseph (5/19) and Shrikant Mundhe (3/14) wreaking havoc.
