Mahesh Bhatt turns 67, daughters wish their 'special' father

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt turned 67 today and his three daughters, Alia, Pooja and Shaheen expressed their love for him by posting birthday wishes on Twitter.
Wishing her "special, unique" father, "Shaandaar" star, Alia, 22, tweeted, "Happy birthday my special, unique MAD father! @MaheshNBhatt! You make life so weirdly interesting... And of course CRAZY... I love you!"
Pooja, the eldest child of the "Arth" director, shared a picture of him, writing, "Happy Birthday Pops! I love you."
"My port in the storm, the love of my life and occasional pain in my neck. Happy Birthday Papa!@MaheshNBhatt," Shaheen tweeted.
Born in 1948, Bhatt made his directorial debut with "Manzilein Aur Bhi Hain" in 1974.
The director rose to prominence with his 1982 critically-acclaimed film "Arth", followed by "Saaransh" in 1984, which was India's official entry for the 1985 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Movies like "Daddy", "Aashiqui", "Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin", "Sadak", "Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke" and "Zakhm" further proved his mettle as a director.
In 1987, he turned producer with the film "Kabzaa" under the banner, "Vishesh Films" with his brother Mukesh Bhatt.
His last project as a director was 1999 film "Kartoos", which starred Manisha Koirala and Jackie Shroff.
He last produced Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan starrer "Hamari Adhuri Kahani", under Vishesh Films.
