"The Mahila Congress will gherao Parliament on July 21 to protest the failure of the BJP led Government on all fronts, including corruption, inflation, crime against women and Vyapam scam," Mahila Congress chief Shobha Oza told reporters here today.
More than 10,000 Mahila Congress workers from various parts of the country will take part in the protest, she said.
Oza, who was in Chandigarh today to take a meeting of the Haryana Pradesh Mahila Congress in the run-up to the protest in New Delhi, hit out at the Central and BJP governments in Haryana.
Oza further said that the BJP had made tall promises to the people before the elections, but after coming to power at the Centre and in Haryana, they had allegedly betrayed the public by going back on their promises.
Meanwhile, replying to a question, she said the Haryana unit of the Mahila Congress, which had been inactive for the past several years, was being strengthened with the induction of dedicated and experienced leaders.
