Homegrown auto major Mahindra and Mahindra reported a 20.33% increase on Friday, in total tractor sales at 30,191 units in June.
The company had sold 25,090 units in the same month last year.
Domestic tractor sales grew by 20.49% to 28,797 units in June as against 23,899 units in the year-ago month, the company said in a statement.
Exports during the month increased by 17% to 1,394 units compared with 1,191 units in the same month a year ago, it added.
Commenting on the sales outlook, M&M President and Chief Executive Farm Equipment and Two-wheeler Division Rajesh Jejurikar said: "Expectations of good monsoon coupled with higher MSPs (minimum support prices of crops) will drive sentiment thus positively impacting tractor demand.
