Home-grown auto major Mahindra & Mahindra today reported 42 per cent increase in its tractor sales at 21,717 units in November as against 15,333 units in the same month last year.
Domestic tractor sales last month increased by 47 per cent at 20,819 units as compared to 14,207 units in the year-ago month, the company said in a statement.
Exports during the month were at 898 units as against 1,126 units in the same month last year, a decline of 20 per cent, it added.
The rise in sales is due to improved sentiments owing to festive season, M&M President & Chief Executive-Farm Equipment and Two Wheeler division, Rajesh Jejurikar said.
"We hope for the rural economy to steadily revive going forward", he added.
