A court here today granted a conditional permission to Mahipal Maderna, a key accused in Bhanwari Devi abduction and murder case, for attending to his ailing father in the ICU.
Mahipal's father, Parasram Maderna, a veteran Congress leader, was admitted to the ICU of the SMS Hospital in Jaipur yesterday due to some health complications.
According to the Senior Public Prosecutor (CBI) S S Yadav, Mahipal moved an application in the ACJM (SC/ST Cases) court, seeking an interim bail of one month to attend to his father.
"Though we objected to the interim bail but considering the matter on humanitarian ground magistrate Sanjay Kumar granted conditional relief to enable Mahipal to attend to his father," Yadav said.
According to the court's permission, Mahipal will now be able to attend to his father from February 13 to 17 amid police security from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm as long as Maderna will be in the ICU.
The moment, his father is out of ICU, this permission will be void, Yadav said.

Mahipal is lodged in Jaipur jail and himself has not been keeping well.
Recently, he had made appearance in the court in Jodhpur after the objection by the CBI to his constant exemption from appearance in the court.
He had then arrived in the court on a wheelchair.
36-year-old Bhanwari, who was an auxiliary nurse, had gone missing from Jodhpur's Bilara area on September 1, 2011.
During the CBI probe, it was found that she was abducted and killed and her body burnt at Jaloda. Her remains and belongings were later dumped in the Rajiv Gandhi Lift Canal, which were recovered by the CBI.
