Delhi High Court today dismissed the plea of Delhi Police seeking cancellation of bail granted to former Bahujan Samaj Party MP Dhananjay Singh in a case relating to the murder of his domestic help but imposed restrictions on his movemnet.
Justice Manmohan Singh asked Dhananjay not to visit Delhi unless his case is listed in a court here and said the trial court will hear the matter and frame charges in a month, if made out against the accused persons, including his wife Jagriti Singh.
The bench also said that the politician will not influence or approach any of the two witnesses, presently living in the national capital.
"In case of any violation of the high court's order, the police and the witnesses have an opportunity to approach the court," the bench said.
It also asked the trial court judge to conclude recording of evidence in the case in another two months.
The court asked Dhananjay not to leave his native place in Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh and said he can visit his grant father only if required.

The court had on April 10 reserved its order on the plea after the counsel for the Delhi Police and Dhananjay concluded their arguments in which the police requested the court that the accused may be arrested.
Dhananjay's counsel, however, had opposed the police's request saying it may infringe his client's right and said no purpose would be served by putting the accused behind bars as the possible evidence in the case were in police's custody.
Dhananjay and his wife Jagriti Singh were arrested on November 5, 2013 in connection with the death of their 35-year-old maid Rakhi Bhadra, a resident of West Bengal.
While Dhananjay was granted interim bail on October 30, 2014, Jagriti is lodged in Tihar Jail under judicial custody.
