Main accused in abduction, rape of Dalit girl arrested

Police today claimed to have arrested the main accused who was allegedly involved in the gangrape of a 13-year-old Dalit girl at Dhianpur village here.
Station House Officer of Kotli Surat Malhi police station Sucha Singh said that Robin Masih, along with his two accomplices Harjit Singh and Saba Masih, had raped the girl after kidnapping her from her house on May 31.
Police had already arrested Harjit Singh while Saba Masih was still absconding.
In a complaint lodged with police, the victim's father had alleged that her daughter was kidnapped by the trio from his house.
She was then taken to an abandoned place where she was gangraped, the father had alleged.

The accused trio then abandoned the victim near her house in an unconscious condition next morning, he said.
